Where are you from?

I am from Dickinson, North Dakota.

Tell us a little bit about you.

I am a recent graduate from Minnesota State University Moorhead, with a degree in multimedia journalism. I love writing, photography, swimming, and taking care of my plants.

What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I like to relax and recharge by working on a photography project or doing yoga.

Tell us about your experience.

While in college, I worked for my school newspaper. I gained a lot of experience there, working my way up from freelance writer to Editor-in-Chief. Throughout this experience, I found that I love learning about new things and meeting new people.

What part of your job do you believe makes the most impact?

I think the most impactful part of my job is how we share stories. People share parts of themselves and trust us to tell their stories, we should honor that trust and deliver the story the best we can.

Why does our community matter to you?

A community gives people a sense of belonging and togetherness, and the Fargo-Moorhead community is no exception to that. In order to help create this community, it is important to share the stories of the individuals who make it up.

What are some of your goals at Spotlight?

Some of my goals are to write impactful stories, capture interesting photos, and meet some great people!
