Where are you from?
It’s a small rural town an hour north of the Twin Cities, and the “Pie Capital” of the state.
Tell us a little bit about you.
I grew up on a small hobby farm and was very active in 4-H - specifically the horse project and ran track & field all through high school. I moved to the Fargo area about 3 years ago and currently live south of Fargo with my husband, son, 2 dogs, and a cat.
If there was a movie about your life, who would play you and why?
Dakota Fanning? To be honest I’ve never thought about that much. She’s short too and I’ve had blonde hair for the majority of my life up until recently.
What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
I love to go horseback riding, read, draw, and go for rides on the Harley in the summer.
What’s a ridiculous fact about yourself?
I’m related to Elvis Presley.
What part of your position provides the most value?
Making sure our vendors are being paid on time, keeping our finances in order, and processing payroll efficiently and correctly.
Tell us about your experience.
I never ended up going to college and have worked my way up from different customer service, HR/recruiting, and Accounts Payable positions with hands-on experience and hard work.
What part of your job do you believe makes the most impact?
Establishing respectful relationships with our vendors and clients on the accounting side of things.
Why does our community matter to you?
Coming from a small town where good jobs aren’t always available, moving to the Fargo area has provided me with so many opportunities to learn and improve my life that I’m grateful for.
